Хозяйка Медной горы — могущественная и справедливая волшебница, хранительница драгоценных пород и камней. Перед людьми она предстает то в виде прекрасной женщины с неподвижной косой, то в виде ящерицы с короной на голове. Платье на ней из шелкового малахита то блестит, будто стекло, то полиняет, то алмазной россыпью засверкает, то медным станет, то зеленым шелком. Медной горы Хозяйка повелевает камнем и металлами. Повелевает Малахитница и живыми существами - ящерками. Может любую руду обратить в пустую породу, в обманку. Слезы ее превращаются в редкостный, дорогой камень – медный изумруд. А сама она состоит из живого камня...  Весь образ Хозяйки медной горы воплощает красоту природы, вдохновляющую человека на творческие искания, это образ богини, по преданиям жившей в горе, и там у нее был каменный цветок, в котором  жили души не рожденных еще людей, зверей и птиц и был он неземной красоты и светился волшебным светом.
